One month after, Bob saget’s family confirmed in a statement to PEOPLE that he died due to head trauma.
According to TMZ Bob Saget had just finished a gig at a comedy club in Jacksonville, Florida. He then drove to the Ritz in Orlando arriving there just after 2 Am. His dead body was discovered in the room by hotel security at 4 PM.
TMZ reports that after checking into the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Orlando January 9, he hit his head on something.
Although the authorities don’t know what object but possibly the headboard and because there was no obvious bruise on the back of his head, authorities believed Bob Sager did not know the severity of the injury and got under the covers to sleep. We’re told he never woke up and died from a brain bleed.
So, as previously believed, Bob Saget did not die of a heart attack or a stroke which authorities had believed was the case.
The toxicology report has come back and there were no narcotics or alcohol in his system.
“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma,” bob Saget family said on Wednesday. “They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.” His family said.
Bob Saget’s family added that they’ve been marveled with the love outpouring from Bob’s fans since his death.
Bob Saget’s family felt the need to let his fans know the cause of his death and to hear it directly from them.
“As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.” his family said.
Bob Saget is survived by his wife Kelly Rizzo and his three daughters — Aubrey, 34, Lara, 32, and Jennifer, 29 — whom he shared with his ex-wife Sherri Kramer.
Isn’t it surprising that he hit his head, went to bed and never woke up?
RIP Bob Saget.
