20 Year Old Man Killed In Chicago, 4 Others Wounded In City Shootings

A 20-year-old man was found shot to death in the backyard of a building in the Longwood Manor neighborhood late Sunday afternoon, one of at least five people wounded in gunfire since midmorning in Chicago, authorities said.
The man was found with a gunshot wound to the back about 4:30 p.m. in a backyard in the 9800 block of South Peoria Street, according to a police media notification. Someone found the man unresponsive and called police, according to a police spokesman.
No information about the circumstances of the shooting was released. Property records show that the building behind which the man was found dead is a single-family home, typical for the neighborhood.
The man was pronounced dead at 4:53 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
