24-Year-Old Chynna Stapleton Rams 18-Year-Old Tatyanna Lewis Into A Tree After An Argument On Facebook

A Chicago woman was charged with first degree murder after allegedly ramming the daughter of a Chicago police officer into a tree multiple times. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
24-year old Chynna Stapleton attacked 18-year old Tatyanna Lewis after an argument over Facebook. Stapleton was reportedly upset because Lewis was in a relationship with the father of one of her children. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lewis’ boyfriend, Tyshaun Page, said Lewis visited him Friday and expressed that she was tired of being “bullied and harassed” by Stapleton. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A little after 11 p.m. that night, Page said Lewis and Stapleton got into a fist fight. Police say as Lewis was walking away with some friends, Stapleton got into her vehicle-with her 13-year-old cousin in the back seat- and began to drive away. As Stapleton started to drive away, prosecutors said, Lewis kicked the Jeep.

That’s when Stapleton reportedly yelled, “I got something for you,” before maneuvering her Jeep around a street sign and driving up and over the curb on to a sidewalk and residential lawns, prosecutors said.
According to Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Jamie Santini, witnesses watched as Stapleton hit Lewis, not stopping until she rammed her into a tree. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“Witnesses then watched as she put her car in reverse; the victim had become lodged and was dragged and pulled under the vehicle. She shifted to drive and ran over her with both the front and rear tires of her car,”

Santini said. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stapleton was arrested after attempting to escape in her vehicle. A judge ordered no bond in court on Monday.
