Serena and Venus Williams are ready to let go of playing Tennis as they discuss tennis retirement.
The Tennis champions Serena and Venus Williams graced the cover of the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar and discussed their life after tennis.
The super talented sisters looked gorgeous as they posed in black swimsuits for the March cover of the Legacy edition of the magazine. They both discussed the hard work they have put in their works since they were children and their hopes for the future.
41 year old Venus told the publication that “From such a young age, all we’ve done is work, so I think for Serena and I to explore that freedom is surreal. We’ve never been free.”
Venus also joked that the two will turn to bodybuilding once they retire from their careers.
If you do not know this two while you were growing up, then we can say you missed alot. In 1994 and 1995, Venus and Serena made their professional tennis debuts.
Serena seem to be concerned about the legacy she is leaving behind as she said “That’s something I don’t think about nor do I want, I don’t want to think about what I’m leaving. I just think about who I am every single day behind closed doors and behind cameras. And that’s what I focus on.”
Over the course of their expansive career, Serena is married to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, and has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles. Between year 2002 and 2017, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) also ranked her singles world No. 1 on eight separate occasions.
Venus, on the other hand, hold seven Grand Slam singles titles. With several fashion lines, a venture-capital firm, and an interior-design company.
The sisters also executive-produced the Will Smith-led film about their early life, King Richard.
“I am a dreamer, and I love Marvel,” Serena said. “I think King Richard is like Iron Man and that there still are other stories around it.
“The next, obviously, would be the Venus story, and then there’s always the story about our other three sisters, and then there’s like a mom, and then there’s the Serena story. When I look at it, I see it just encompassing this whole superhero kind of thing.”
We wish the sisters success in their future endeavors.
