Two people were shot to death inside a home on the southwest side of Detroit just after 6 pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
Sophia Wilson, 29, and a 30-year-old man were inside a house when an armed suspect opened fire on them.
Sophia was four months pregnant and is a mother to two children.
The suspect opened fire from outside with an assault rifle, striking her in the neck and him in the head. The identity of the man with her has not been released as yet…
“They were seated inside the house together on separate couches when an unknown shooter approached the residence with a long gun and fired from outside into the house,” Capt. Darin Szilagy said. Police are unsure if they were the intended targets.
Police still do not have a description of the shooter or a vehicle they’re looking for, but they say they are reviewing some surveillance video that might give them a better idea.
“In all of my years out here, I have not seen anyone die over anything that I thought was worthy,” said Captain Szilagy. “It’s all a bunch of crap – and people have got to think better and do better.”…
Friends say Sophia was a good mother to her children and she was very kind and loving. Our thoughts are with both families and Sophia’s children. Rest peacefully…
