Shonda Rhimes is pulling the plug on ABC’s political drama, ‘scandal.’
According to Deadline, the show starring Kerry Washington will end after its 7th season.
Rhimes has vocalized her uncertainty about the future of the show because of the country’s current political climate.
She told Hollywood Reporter during an interview for it’s 100th episode that:
“I used to know how it ended as then Donald Trump was elected. We had a destination, and I don’t know if that’s our destination anymore.”
The network is expected to make a formal announcement next week.
