Blitter App: Black Twitter Social App Launches, Sparks Up Reactions On White Twitter

The new Blitter app that launched last Friday (Oct. 6) that seeks to be an exclusive space combining the best of Black Twitter, is currently trending on the traditional Twitter network.
The app launch have had a robust reactions so far, but only iPhone users can hop on the train for now.

Developer Patrick Francis launched the app via iTunes with the following descriptor:

Blitter is a social network built on love, passion, and empathy. Blitter does not condone racism, sexism, harassment, bots, or hate speech whatsoever. We are 100% independent from any investors and display no ads!

Other highlights of the Blitter app are;

• Users will be able to post statuses up to 120 characters.
• Like posts.
• Leave comments along with tags.
• Follow other users.
• Browse popular or recent posts.
• Record quick videos.
• And privately chatting with followers or creating group chats.

Perhaps the most telling aspect of Blitter is that it will be a space where racism, sexism, or hate speech will lead to a user losing their account. Definitely a departure from the minefield of Twitter on that front.
Naturally, Black Twitter users are reacting to the news and even announcing a defection.
