2016 was a year of celebrity splits. It was really awful. A few marriages and relationships attracted the media because of they hit the rock bottom in their love lives.

The couple, who were together for 11 years and married for two, announced their plans to divorce in September. Since then, Jolie and Pitt have been involved in an intense custody battle over the safety of their six children.Amber Heard & Johnny Depp
Heard and Depp were married for 15 months before calling it quits in May. Shortly after, the actress claimed she was a repeated victim of domestic violence at the hands of Depp and soon the pair were entangled in a nasty divorce saga. They reached a settlement in August, with Depp agreeing to pay Heard $6.8 million, but after a recent mix-up, the actor is taking a step back. After five years together, the engaged couple called it quits in July. But, Gaga did take to social media to say they hope to one day rekindle their love.“Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates,” she wrote on Instagram. “Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”
Naomi Watts & Liev Schreiber
After 11 years together, Watts and Schreiber, who were never married, called it quits in September. They remain dedicated to sharing a friendship and raising their two young sons together.Drew Barrymore & Will Kopelman
