Dua Lipa is currently facing a copyright infringement lawsuit for her “Levitating” single. The lawsuit which was filed by Artikal Sound System group says the song sounds absolutely similar to their 2017 track. Apparently, Dua’s song haslevitated to a legal space? lol
According reports from E! News, the 26-year-old singer is currently facing a copyright infringement lawsuit for her hit song which she released in 2020.

In the court document, the group members of Artikal Sound System (a reggae band from Florida), filed the complaint against the pop star, along with her label, Warner Records.
In the lawsuit, filed in a Los Angeles federal court, it states that Dua Lipa’s hit song sounds similar to their 2017 single, “Live Your Life.” Although, the group did not say or provide in details how Dua Lipa and her team were able to copy their song.
See below their complaints. “In 2020, on information and belief, Defendants listened to and copied ‘Live Your Life’ before and during the time when they were writing Levitating. Given the degree of similarity, it is highly unlikely that Levitating was created independently from ‘Live Your Life.'”
Dua Lipa’s representatives are yet to respond on this matter, neither is Warner Records.
Have you listened to “Levitating,”? Have you listened to Live your life? Do they sound similar?
Levitating was released in October 2020 from the Future Nostalgia, album by Dua Lipa and it has since proved to be a smash hit for the singer, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts
