Grey Projects just released their SS16 collection and its totally gorgeous using etches of doll-like illustrations, laser cut technique, exaggerated larger-than-life bows, mix-match of colours and prints; Grey goes on it’s most explorative and adventurous foray into “the often uneven, imperfect yet inspirational stories of women both from a personal and a socio- political platform”, says Rukky Ladoja – Grey’s Creative Director, while speaking on the inspiration behind the collection.
Largely made up of satin silk and silk woven jacquard, Grey’s latest collection looks easy to wear and completely balances a beautiful thought process that seamlessly transforms into this resoundingly functional and commercial collection. Which is a plus, especially for a creative space where other designers are constantly fraught by the inability to successful think and execute without losing the essence of either.
