Around 4:30 a.m. on Monday, 37-year-old mother Lorena Sesma began arguing with her ex-boyfriend, Stanley Washington, 43, in the hallway of her University Heights apartment while having a smoke, sources said.
When Sesma retreated into her apartment, Washington followed and punched her repeatedly in the head, sources said.
Selma’s 18-year-old son, Louis Moux, a 220-pound offensive lineman on his high school football team, heard his mother screaming. Roux walked to the front door to see Washington kicking and punching his mother. Moux pulled Williams off his mother and wrapped his arm around Washington’s neck.
Moux told police that he held Washington in a choke hold for two minutes until he “fell asleep.” Moux has bite marks on his forearm and knee.
Sesma initially told cops she briefly passed out, sources said, and woke up to find her son standing over her ex, but reversed course and said she was conscious for the entire time.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to find out Washington’s cause of death.
Police sources said Washington has 26 prior arrests. Two of them are for instances of domestic violence against the teenager’s mother.
In 2014, cops were called to break up a dispute. In 2016, sources said the ex-boyfriend assaulted Sesma and beat up an older woman.
Police took the teen into custody on Monday. He is charged with murder.
Moux is a student at Grand Street Campus High School in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
His Facebook page is filled with pictures of him in his football pads and uniform.
On Monday, neighbor Angel Nives, 65, described Luis as a good kid.
“He’s a school kid, a good student not involved with drugs or hanging out with bad people,” Nives said.
