Beyonce is always full of surprises. In honour of the one year anniversary of the release of Lemonade, Beyonce launches Formation Scholars Awards. This is to support young women of colour.
The focus is on young creatives. This is for the young women who dare to be different and know no boundaries.
We’ve noticed Beyonce loves the number four so there are four colleges in partnership and four scholarships will be awarded-one for each school.
Berkelee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design and Spellman College are the selected institution of learning.
The students selected will either be incoming, current or graduate students pursing studies in creative arts, literature, music or African American studies.
The queen wants to help uphold other black women.
