I finally watched the most talked about movie of 2016 on Christmas day with my sister. I was just praying not to be deceived the way some Nollywood movies deceived us last year.
So I went in, waiting, clutched chest and still waiting. And trust me that movie is not as hyped as it should have been. The trailer did not do the movie justice, the movie was beyond awesome and if given lots of time and money, I could go on watching the movie day in day out. Kemi Adetiba, big ups!
Sola Sobowale was awesome in her role as Tinuade ‘TinTin’ Coker. She was just the perfect African mother. She might have been over dramatic once or twice in the movie, otherwise she was golden and deserves an award for that role. Ali Baba tried in his role, I loved the love he had for TinTin, lol.

My best part in the moie had to be when the bride’s family made their entrance with Sola Sobowale dance moves.
The couple, Dunni and Dozie, played by Adesua Etomi and Banky W had so much chemistry, I could pratically feel their love. It was wonderful that no Rosie played by Beverly Naya could come in between them.
Dunni exuded perfect innocence and her friends kind of reminds me of my own friends. Dozie the player and his gang of player friends got me laughing.
I think another actor that stood out despite his role was Enyinna Nwigwe, he played his role as the big serious brother perfectly.
Ireti Doyle and Beverly Naya played their roles so well, I almost felt like entering the tv to give them a slap. Yeah they were that good to elicit such emotions from me.
Frank Donga, Saka and Ikechukwu did not disappoint me, like how can people be so ‘funnily annoying’ hehehe
The rest of the cast did a pretty good job, though some overacted their roles like EmmaOMG and Zainab Balogun.
Overall the movie was perfect and I would rate it a 8.5/10. Would definitely love to see the movie again.
Have you watched The Wedding Party? What were your thoughts?
