Monday night Texas Tech University was placed on lockdown after an active shooter was reported on campus.
According to Fox News, a Texas Tech student was reportedly brought to the university police station after police found “evidence of drugs and drug paraphernalia” in the student’s room.
After officers brought the student to the station, the student reportedly pulled out a gun and shot one officers in the head, and fled on foot.
KCBD reports that the suspect is being described as 6 feet tall and 140 pounds with blue eyes and red hair, wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt.
Since then the university has been placed on lockdown and everyone has been encouraged to take shelter.
