Thanks to the imagination and creativity of Twitter users, Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o will co-star in a film together where the concept’s creators will be credited.

It all started in 2014, with a photo of the two sitting front row at a Miu Miu fashion show went viral, according to Entertainment Weekly.
After the picture surfaced online, Twitter users transformed it into a meme in which later gave birth a concept for a movie.
In response, Nyong’o tweeted signaling she was ‘down’ if Rihanna was. Of course, the bad gal would never let us down. Rihanna replied with ‘I’m in Pit’z.’

Then users even went as far as to cast their own director and writer for the film, Ava DuVernay and Issa Rae, who immediately expressed they were on board.

Now years later, all four women will officially work together after Netflix ruled out all other bids in what sources say was a ‘dramatic negotiation session’ at the Cannes Film Festival.
As far as concept goes, it is undecided whether Rae will drift away from the original ‘scammer’ plot of Rihanna playing white men and Nyong’o being the mastermind behind it all.
However, either way, sources on Rae’s camp told Vanity Fair that Twitter user’s original concept will be given credit and incorporated in some fashion.
According to sources, the ‘Insecure’ star has already started writing for the up and coming film that is set to start production in 2018 after DuVernay finishes production for Disney’s ‘A Wrinkle in Time.’
Until then if Rae experiences any writer’s block or lacks creative direction, I’m sure black Twitter will offer inspiration if she needs any assistance.
