Anna Hayes, a high school senior in Arkansas received some extremely unsettling feedback from her father after attending her senior prom with her senior prom with her friend Philip Freeman-who happens to be black.
After viewing photos of the pair on social media, Hayes’s father blew a fuse.
“We are done. I wont be coming to your graduation. Nor will I pay for your college. Go live with the n***ers,”
he begins in a text message.
“I went to prom with a black guy so that’s a problem? Racist much,” Anna responded.
“Yes I am,” he admitted. “You’re dead to me.” Hayes’s father even went as far as to refer to Philip as being “subhuman.”
In an interview with Buzz feed, you Hayes shared that this bigoted explosion from her father seems to be one of many as she recalls some of her earliest childhood memories include her father being “openly racist.”
“He has told me that if I ever dated a black guy that I will and would be dead to him, ” Hayes’s told Buzz feed.
“I stood my ground for what I believe in. He has called me several horrible things before.”
